Social Media
Work

Here's a look at my social media work across various projects and platforms

Connecticon

My time with ConnectiCon was where my passion for social media truly came to life. I started off as the Social Media and Publications intern for the summer of 2024, but after a successful first year, I was promoted to Social Media Specialist for the summer of 2025. The Social Media Specialist position required me to take on a larger role in strategy, content creation, and day of execution. Initally, I planned to post 4 to 5 times per day, but after early analytics showed higher than expected engagement, I adapted our approach to publish 12 to 15 posts daily across platforms. In my second year, I helped lead the team to record high post engagement stats, specifically through custom graphics and TikTok content. This experience has sharpened my skills in real time content strategy and taught me how to thrive under the fast paced, high stakes enviroment of live events.

United States Marine Band

I returned in my senior year to Crested Communications as the social media manager for the Presidents Own United States Marine Band. I led a year long content strategy project in collaboration with the band's communications team. I developed a full 12 month content calendar, including campaigns for major events like their Southwest Tour, ideated a range of evergreen content to support ongoing engagement. I also conducted and implemented updates from a website audit to improve clarity and consistency in their digital presence. Throughout the project, I worked closely with my team and the client, presenting and refining conten in alignment with their goals, brand standards, and audience.

Special Olympics Connecticut

Working with Special Olympics Connecticut was my introduction to the field of social media. This opportunity came through my university’s student-run agency, Crested Communications, where Digital Media & Journalism professors select students they believe will best represent the university in a professional agency setting. As the social media manager and community relations event coordinator for this project, I gained invaluable experience in content calendars, brand guidelines, social templates, and more

Sports TikTok

As an active TikTok user, I realized that while I had experience creating content for various platforms, I had yet to fully explore TikTok from a content creation standpoint. To change that, I launched a sports focused account for my university’s student run news network, specializing in NBA content. This experience was invaluable, as it allowed me to develop my skills in on camera 'talking head' content. Additionally, my TikTok posts achieved the strongest analytical performance of any social media content I’ve created.
